Danger constantly awaits the hundreds of commercial fishermen based in this coastal New Jersey resort town best known for bird-watching and its quaint bed-and-breakfasts. While tourists in the town that bills itself as the nation's oldest seaside resort eat part of the catch hauled in locally, the gritty world of deep-sea fishing is a contrast from the nearby downtown dotted by Victorian inns, antique shops and ice cream parlors.
