Hopefully, such restrictions cause the residents of the Garden State to wonder where the water we access so effortlessly comes from, and how the ongoing existence of the supply is monitored.

The Last Thirty YearsThe dramatic changes that New Jersey has experienced in its land use and land cover over the past several decades should be a priority as we move forward and determine how we want to protect the resources we have left and protect ourselves and our property from the effects of global warming and sea level rise. These changes, and the number, types and locations of development permits that are actually issued in a given year, should also be a major consideration of the current administration as it contemplates any revisions to the Coastal Program and the Coastal Rules.
