Watch out for rip currents this weekend down the Shore

by The Associated Press
Friday July 11, 2008, 9:11 AM

TRENTON-- Keep this in mind if you're heading to the Jersey shore this weekend.

Hurricane Bertha is churning up the ocean and there's a moderate risk of rip currents from Sandy Hook to Cape May.

The National Weather Service says the risk could last into early next week because Bertha is moving slowly.

Swimmers are advised to pay attention to lifeguards and never swim alone at night.
